Payback After nearly going bankrupt in 2012, Kodak has decided to reinvent itself by entering the smartphone market.   Kodak and Android will be releasing numerous products in 2015 including a smartphone.  Many people pass on digital cameras since their phone’s have powerful cameras that come standard.  Following the release of the phone, Kodak will release a 4G handset, a tablet and a connected camera.  Kodak’s venture can be viewed as payback yet is the company’s reach long enough to compete? What We Want Kodak’s new venture provides us with a great opportunity to tell the smartphone companies what we want the future of smartphones to look like: Shatter-Free Screens We have spent billions replacing screens and every time we break one we lose a little more respect for the phone companies that are forcing screen maintenance upon us! Eye Scanning Kodak should attempt to convince Android to allow ‘Eye Verify’ to debut on the Kodak smartphone. Keyless Smart

Google Ara - Google's Modular Smartphone

1 of 1 Is unique still a word? The current state of the mobile phone industry lacks variety as everyone seems to have either a normal or grand sized touchscreen slab.  The Google Ara is the modular smartphone that will allow users to customize everything.  You will be able to modify the battery size, camera and even the phone's mobile processors.  Users will be able to add and subtract parts in order to create the device that is perfect for them. Project Ara Project Ara (aka Phonebloks Volume 2) is Google's codename for this 'open hardware' platform of modular smartphones.  The project was created to reduce electronic waste.  Google sold Motorola to Lenovo and Project Ara then joined the Android team at Google. Apple Watch in the Sky...4 Things to Consider Before You Decide to Buy the Apple Watch

ONE Similar to the iPhone 6, there are 2 different sizes of the watch: 38mm and 42mm.   The smaller watch has a matching smaller strap.   There are 3 different versions of the Apple Watch.   The first version simply referred to as ‘Apple Watch’ is made of stainless steal.   The second watch is the ‘Apple Watch Sport’, which will be light and durable.   Apple has shown this version in bright color ways.   The third version will be the ‘Apple Watch Edition’.   The ‘Edition’ is 18K gold which is much harder than standar d gold. TWO One feature that Apple hopes to benefit from is the fact that the Apple Watch will help people live healthy lives through its health and fitness features.   The back of the Apple Watch has 4 sensors.   These sensors track your motion, heart rate, how long you have been sitting as well as how long it takes for you to get up and your intensity.   The Apple Watch is dynamic and luckily the fitness feature is not the only thing the watch is capable of.

5 Google Glass Considerations

ONE When you put the Glass’ on, you see a square in the corner of your vision.   It looks like a 25 inch display from 8 ft. away.   When there is a huge pile of dishes in the sink or an endless amount of clothes to fold, I’m always scrambling to find my ear plugs so I can listen to my phone while I’m washing or folding.   All my new music is on my phone so I prefer listening to music it rather than my stereo or computer.   I can also switch over to accept a call if I already have music playing.   Although the version of Google Glass that has been released is not equipped with Youtube, it is only a matter of time! Instead of being limited to hands-free mobile music, Google Glass has introduced the capabilities for hands-free mobile video. When you want to record a sporting event while simply watching it, Google Glass is your best bet! TWO Google Glass allows you to take photos, record videos, get directions, send messages, make phone calls and of course utilize Google and G
