CD Projekt Red released patch 1.07 for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on all platforms.
Should you install The Witcher 3 patch 1.07?
The Witcher 3's new patch covers numerous complaints including enabling Geralt to move smoother, streamlining the inventory system and it increases text sizes along with fixing additional bugs. Valuable gameplay features were added in patch 1.07 yet performance takes a hit on consoles.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt patch 1.07 includes changes for Enhanced Witcher 3 gear sets. The Enhanced Ursine armor set will not require Geralt to be at level 25 as opposed to level 22. Enhanced Feline Witcher requires level 23 character for swords and armor instead of level 19.
Eurogamer explains that the game is not performing as well on either Xbox One or the PS4 due to the new patch. Travelling through Crookback in a rainy storm locks the Xbox One's frame rate. Microsoft's platform now uses a double-buffer system of v-sync to match PS4 causing it to lock at 20fps.
