Similar to the iPhone 6, there are 2 different sizes of the watch: 38mm and 42mm.  The smaller watch has a matching smaller strap.  There are 3 different versions of the Apple Watch.  The first version simply referred to as ‘Apple Watch’ is made of stainless steal.  The second watch is the ‘Apple Watch Sport’, which will be light and durable.  Apple has shown this version in bright color ways.  The third version will be the ‘Apple Watch Edition’.  The ‘Edition’ is 18K gold which is much harder than standard gold.

One feature that Apple hopes to benefit from is the fact that the Apple Watch will help people live healthy lives through its health and fitness features.  The back of the Apple Watch has 4 sensors.  These sensors track your motion, heart rate, how long you have been sitting as well as how long it takes for you to get up and your intensity.  The Apple Watch is dynamic and luckily the fitness feature is not the only thing the watch is capable of.  The Nike FuelBand has proved that people do not want their technology to hold them accountable for their health and lack of activity.  Every time we look in the mirror we get a clear reminder.

There are some potential ‘flaws’ with the Apple Watch.  Many people are not happy with the fact that an iPhone will almost always be required to operate the Apple Watch.  Unlike ‘normal’ watches, the Apple Watch will need to be charged on a daily basis.  It will use a MagSafe wireless charger.  This is the charger used on the MacBook Air and the MacBook Pro.  This is the issue for every smartwatch on the market, having to charge the device on a daily basis is inevitable.

The Apple Watch will start at $350.  The ‘Apple Watch Edition’ will be more expensive.  The ‘Edition’ will be the reason why the Apple Watch will succeed.  Apple’s product placement skills have always been superior.  Apple will ensure that everyone that ‘matters’ is seen sporting the most expensive version of the device.  Limited bands, celebrity inspired versions of the watch and commercials composed of the following: Apple Watch x Human Hand x The Voice x White Background…will ensure that everyone will have their Apple Watches in the sky, we will wave them side side…despite the fact that Apple’s prices are far too high.
