On Friday, a angry crowd of people shouted at Ellen Pao demanding that she resign as chief executive of the social media site Reddit. Ms. Pao has received a substantial amount of criticism since she took over the site last year.  Ellen Pao stepped down as Reddit's CEO and Steve Huffman, Reddit co-founder and its original CEO, is taking over immediately.

Reddit is on lock down.  Moderators have shut down about 300 subreddits. Subreddits are being shut down to protest the termination of Victoria Taylor, the site's director of talent. Taylor managed Reddit's 'Ask Me Anything' interviews that have featured numerous celebrities including President Barack Obama. Here she is discussing Reddit on BBC:
