Xiamoi has been operating for about 5 years now and is very popular in China. The company recently released the Mi 4i in order to expand to India.
Xiaomi has open sourced the kernel source for the Xiaomi Mi 4i, meaning users can have more fun. They will now be able to develop kernels to go with those customer ROMs or to go with the stock MUI experience.
