Sign Up for Messenger without a Facebook Account

Facebook announced that individuals located in Canada, the United States, Peru or Venezuela can now sign up for Messenger without a Facebook account.  This update lets more people enjoy Facebook Messenger.  

Messenger recently introduced its Video Calling feature as well.  Facebook offers video calling for free, similar to services like Skype, Viber and Google Hangouts.
