Sometimes the best thing to do is doing nothing at all.

When you develop something that users love (mayorships) why would you take it away from them?



When the Foursquare app was split into two separate apps, all the fun features were removed.  The company received numerous complaints and they have finally reversed their decision and brought back mayorships.
